Postplace.co.uk fake guest post site warning

I am seeing some posts on Instagram for this domain, postplace.co.uk, and it's appearing on the SEO marketplace for guest posts. Now, being an SEO, when I see something fishy, I feel I should make an awareness post about it.

There is no harm at all in placing guest posts or going for editorial links, even they are the most powerful ones. Even at the Mobilemall blog we keep accepting them, because that is the whole essence of it, quality content that people provide and that the internet genuinely needs. No AI can produce it, the experience a first-world human person has. But the issue is that sometimes people are manipulating it, and the postplace.co.uk website is a prime example of that.

It's a Fake SEO Traffic Website

What they are doing is automating via a Python script, hitting search queries and fooling Ahrefs into showing traffic that was never real.

Now, I don't have any grudge with the domain itself. But it's the someone new in the SEO industry I worry about, the person who will get this site offloaded onto them for up to $100 for a worthless site that only looks like it has high traffic.

Google Trends for postplace.co.uk showing the manufactured spike pattern starting July

If you look at the Google Trends for it, you can see it's man-made hits. They started in July and the pattern is dead clear, sharp identical spikes out of nowhere, nothing that a real audience ever produces.

And here's the irony. They are not only manipulating the traffic, they are also inflating the fake DR metrics, and all of it is done via PBN links from homepages of domains that are already manipulated themselves. This domain has 0 real backlinks. So please guys, don't fall for it. You will get a backlink and a DR number, sure, but what you are actually buying is a death penalty from Google, because it's all spam.

What the Metrics Actually Look Like

Look at the numbers side by side and the whole thing gives itself away.

Again, I am not against the links. It's the spam I am against, and the fact that they are conning people who don't know better.

The Actual Point for Anyone Buying Links

SEO is always going to be there. Whatever sort of GPT model or Gemini 4 or whatever comes next, it still needs the citation, the sources, the material. So the play is simple, get your brand listed on a real website, or partner with the people who have genuine credibility on the web, not for the sake of a fake Ahrefs number.

A site with 500 traffic in Ahrefs is perfectly fine if it's organic, a few years old, with legit search volume behind it. That is not the one hitting DR 50 or 40. A legit DR of 30 on a site like that is completely fine. The problem is never the small honest site. The problem is the one manufacturing a DR 53 out of nothing and selling it to someone who won't find out what they bought until Google does.

Don't buy the number. Buy the credibility.
